Health Protocal Used With Our Puppies

The dams of our puppies are given Heartgard Plus on a monthly basis which controls not only heartworms but roundworms and hookworms as well.

In addition we worm our puppies every 2 weeks beginning at 2 weeks of age with pyrantel pamoate ( Strongid, Nemex, as well as other trade names).

We continue this until they are sold when our vet feels the new owner shoould use a heartworm preventive prescribed by your vet which will control not only heartworms but roundworms and hookworms as well.

Until you take your puppy to your vet for a health check guaarantee you should worm your puppy on a monthly babis. Your puppy has received a vaccination for Distemper-adenovirus-parainfluenza- and parovirus which was given by us. I would schedule a visit along with any other vaccinations recommended by your vet ( Such as Kennel cough) as soon as possible. Avoid your puppy having any contact with other puppies with unknown vaccinations status until you take him or her to your vet.
